Site Rules:
-- Be respectful of everyone! (Especially staff!)
-- Don’t argue or talk back to the staff. We’re only trying to help you, so arguing and talking back will not help you, and will not be tolerated.
-- Bullying and prejudices are never tolerated out of character.
-- If you have a problem with someone, talk to a staff member. Don’t start a fight in the OOC boards.
-- Try to keep your posts PG-13. This means cursing is allowed, but not repeatedly or obnoxiously. Fade-to-black is required.
-- One account per character – four characters max. However, if you feel you can handle more characters, PM me (Rachel) and we'll discuss it.
--Any rule breaking follows a three-strike system.
>>> First strike: A verbal warning, via PM or posted in the thread in question.
>>> Second strike: Depending upon the offense, will vary from another verbal warning to a brief ban. Ex: Powerplaying for the second time - verbal warning. Talking back to staff members for the second time - one day ban with warning PM.
>>> Third strike: Banned for extended period - depending on the offense, will be anywhere from a week to deletion, depending on the staff’s view of the offense. Repeated offenses (with no obvious intention of improving), obnoxious behavior, and overall rudeness, aggressiveness, or abusiveness to other members are all examples of things that could lead to deletion.
-- Please do not post any OOC comments in RP threads that do not accompany a roleplaying post. Even if you are involved, OOC comments (without an accompanying post) can be directed to the other player in a PM, and are wholly unnecessary by themselves.
In-Character Rules:
-- No godmodding
-- No puppetmastering
-- Keep spelling and grammar readable! (No chat-speak.)
-- We have no word count. Just keep the story moving, and post what you can, when you can.
Character Creation Guidelines:
-- No Mary Sues/Gary Stus – ie, a character who is unrealistically perfect in everything, or is tragically beautiful/handsome, yet feels they are extremely ugly (or something similar). If you're not sure if your character is a Mary Sue/Gary Stu, take this test as a measurement.
-- Don’t make up Pokemon – stick to the list provided.
-- Refer to the list first to see if the Pokemon you want is available; there may be multiples of the same pokemon.
-- Only one legendary Pokemon per person. There are a limited number of legendaries, and we want to share the love as much as possible.
-- Portrayers are preferred, but not required. Using anime portrayers is not allowed - no Ash Ketchums playing Pikachu characters, please. The idea is that these are real people, which is why anime portrayers are not allowed.
-- No Pokemorphs or unrealistic features on your people (stripes, unnatural colored eyes, etc) – these are actual people with Pokemon personalities!
-- Make sure you get permission from the player before referencing an already-established character in your application.
Chatbox Rules:
-- Be polite.
-- Use common sense.
-- Be mature. This includes when you ask people about posts or asking a staff member about accepting your application. The more you ask us in the c-box, the less likely it is that it will be looked at. (A polite PM after two days is more acceptable.)
-- No fighting in the c-box. We want the c-box to be a positive place! Either take it to PM or talk to a staff member if there's a problem and we'll get it sorted out there.
-- Don't whine or mope. If you're having a bad day, we're sorry, but please don't bring everyone else down. Feel free to talk to someone in PM or off of the site, but don't bring it into the c-box.
-- Don't flame/spam the c-box. This means don't bother the other members or be a troll, in essence.
-- Don't advertise in the c-box unless asked for a link. Don't just run in and go spouting your site link everywhere. However, it can be in your c-box name.
Graphics Guidelines:
-- Signatures should be no bigger than 500 x 250 pixels to prevent stretching the board. Avatars are generally 100 x 100 pixels.
-- Graphics must be appropriate, and can be removed if deemed inappropriate by an admin - stick to the PG-13 theme of the board, please.
