personality
Talking is one of Falda’s strong points. She is the type that if someone is talking to someone, she miraculously appears and finds a way into the middle of the conversation. Standing alone in the hallway? Not for long as Falda will jump at the chance to socialize with that person. She loves to talk about anything, whether she knows about it or not. Have to do a presentation before the class? No problems here. Falda is utterly fearless when it comes to other people, which comes down to she trusts others way too easily with everything. She will tell anyone anything or trust anything to anyone, which makes her easy to take advantage of.
Good natured and good spirited are two words that describe Falda. She’s completely sincere, wearing her emotions and thoughts on her sleeve for everyone to see. Completely upfront, Falda doesn’t hide behind a façade. Very rarely is there anything but a smile on her lips. Never does she intend to do someone wrong, unless angry. Only a few things that can make her go over the edge: seeing one of her friends upset or stealing her baton. She is completely obsessed over the happiness of those she considers closest and that silly baton she carries everywhere.
If one thing can be said of Falda, it’s that this girl has imagination. Unicorns, fire breathing butterflies and prince toads all exist in her mind and don’t bother arguing over it. Her explanation is that if it exists in someone’s head, then it must be alive even if only in the mind. It’s one of the reasons she can tell stories with such conviction to make almost anyone believe it’s the truth; Falda believes it is the truth. It’s the product of unusual circumstances happening to her and everyone encouraging her to exaggerate everything for attention sake.
Falda isn’t the brightest crayon in the box when it comes to academics. She makes average grades, happy to get the occasional “B” and enjoys being anywhere other than a classroom. Literature is her favorite subject, the only one she can stand due to using her imagination to recreate the stories. Everything else she doesn’t want to make an effort in because it fails to interest her. Daydreaming and sleeping in class is a very real problem for her. Even worse is if she sits beside someone she knows as Falda will try to talk to them throughout the class period. She only has a short attention span for things she doesn’t care about and school work falls under this category.

appearance
Having short brown-red hair that’s a couple inches from her shoulders, Falda keeps it brushed and nicely kept all the time. She doesn’t worry about adding anything frills to her hair, making it a simple upkeep. Falda has dark brown eyes and her nose fans out from her slender bridge. Her complexion is usually tan; the only make-up she uses on her face regularly is light-pink lip gloss and mascara. Falda stands shy of five feet seven inches, her weight being a hundred and forty-five. She is a very slender build, lacking much shape to her body except for the few muscles she has developed through swimming.
Falda wears an assortment of clothing, but mostly colors that complement the season. During the summer, she can be seen in sundresses that are yellow, light pink and white. If she doesn’t feel like putting on a dress, then shorts and a tank top will do. Fall, her wardrobe begins to show oranges, reds and darker yellows. Falda doesn’t wear many dresses during this time, resorting to jeans and sweatpants. Winter, she often wears her brown winter coat, with more blacks, greys and browns in her selection continuing to wear her jeans and sweatpants. Spring, its back to pastel colors, dresses and shorts. The accessories don’t change though. Falda uses a beige army-style messenger bag that carries all of her school supplies over her right shoulder. In her left hand, Falda typically carries her twirling baton proudly. Whether she twirls it around or not depends on her mood.

history
hometown - Minneapolis, Minnesota
Parker Drake and Morgan Wilda had an off and on relationship their entire lives. One moment, life was perfect and the next they were living in separate apartments. It was sort of a joke among their friends when they “got together” then “broke it off.” Their destiny seemed to link their lives together, but they never were willing to admit it or want to follow destiny’s path. So fate had to choose another path to bring the two together. After losing her job and no longer being able to afford medical means of protection, Morgan became pregnant. Instead of being a happy joyous couple, Parker accused Morgan of cheating on him and once again they broke up. When Falda finally came into the world, it was blatantly obvious she was Parker’s child; the baby looked exactly like him, only female. Then it was agreed upon that they would share custody and the baby would take her father’s last name.
Throughout her life, Falda had bounced back and forth from parent to parent. The young girl thought this was a normal lifestyle, enjoying the company of both her parents equally. Unlike other parents, Parker and Morgan rarely fought over trivial things and agreed mutually on how to raise their daughter. So everything seemed normal for the young girl, blossoming in the wake of a very unusual situation. When Falda started school, Parker opted for the military in wake of losing his job.
As Falda began school, she realized how different her life was compared to the other children. Most people seemed to have parents who lived together, only a few were like her. Despite that difference, odd occurrences were starting to pop up in her life. When she retold her friends and mom, they just encouraged her creativity. For instance, a fish fell out of the sky and landed Falda on the head before flopping into a nearby puddle. She had just shrugged it off and continued to school. When she retold the story, Falda exaggerated the details saying a winged fish fell from the sky and landed gracefully upon her head, which it soon did a triple summersault into a nearby puddle, disappearing from her view. All the praise she received from her interesting stories caused her to exaggerate more information, blurring the line between fiction and reality in her words.
During her summers, Falda was enrolled in swimming lessons. She loved the water so much that everyone started calling her “Ducky” because she “swam like a duck.” The name stuck so well that the girl started quacking to enforce her new nickname (and partially for attention.) Falda was so completely in love with swimming, that eventually she joined in-door swimming leagues during the winter just to continue swimming and training for the summer leagues. Not only did she love it, but Falda was good at it too, placing first and second at several meets.
However, tragedy struck her life as Falda was about to enter middle school. Parker died on the front lines in Afghanistan, named a hero for sacrificing his life for another. Falda was devastated by the news and when his belongings returned home, she dug through his things before finding a silver twirling baton that was a foot long with green ribbon coming out of the end of it. Immediately she claimed it as hers, becoming possessive of it. Falda claimed that her father made it for her, that it was meant for her alone, though her claims couldn’t be proven. Once or twice, Morgan tried to take it away from Falda, only to give it back as the girl desperately searched for it.
Her first year of high school was riddled with inexplicable events and mostly Falda’s imagination running too rampart to be concerned over her studies. Thus, Falda failed her ninth grade year miserably. Not wanting Falda to feel intimidated by going back to her current high school a year behind all her friends, Morgan found information regarding Pallet High and thought a change of scenery might be good for the girl. Help her grow up, so to speak. Falda at first rejected the idea, but eventually caved in to her mother’s wishes.

- Falda means “folded wing.” It’s appropriate for the reason that Farfetch’d wing can fold over so the Pokémon can use it as a hand. Mesi means “water,” which is fitting for the duck Pokémon. A drake is the proper terminology for a male duck.
- Creative writing was the subject that fits Falda only because of the Pokemon’s name. Though farfetched means something unbelievable, Kamonegi is the Japanese name of the Farfetch’d. It’s an abbreviation of a phrase that means ‘something surprising, yet convenient.” Also, the meaning has morphed into a fan-based tale of a duck that appears to hungry travelers with onions to sacrifice itself for the traveler.
- The personality is completely from Bulbapedia’s page on Farfetch’d and the article concerning the origin of the species found here.
- I picked Minnesota for Falda’s hometown because it’s the state that claims to have a thousand lakes in it and the hometown of Minneapolis has many parks. Farfetch’d is basically a duck and ducks prefer ponds and lakes.
- Farfetch’d uses it’s leek (or spring onion) just like a twirling baton, thus I gave Falda something that had emotional attachment to it so she would freak out the same way a Farfetch’d would if it lost its stick. Just like Farfetch’d, if provoked profusely, Falda will use her baton on someone else!
