Quentin has two very different sides to him. The first and more common one is quiet and introverted, tending to keep to himself and stay out of everything as much as possible. The other is angry and fiery. Quentin is easily provoked, and once he gets angry, there's no calming him down. He's explosive and sometimes even violent, something that you would never guess about him if you had only met the first side of this personality. He can switch between the two sides at a moment's notice, making him unpredictable and difficult to be around.

Despite being generally shy, Quentin does crave attention. He will go out of his way to be noticed, though not in the most conventional ways. He's subtle about it, trying to make sure that the person he seeks attention from doesn't know what he wants. His success in these endeavors depends largely upon the person he's targeting, but when he's unsuccessful, he tends to move on quickly, not fretting over it. These pleas for attention are generally attributed to the fact that he's a middle child; he felt like his older brother Tyler always got all the glory and his younger sister Cynthia was spoiled, leaving him with no attention.

Quentin is an incredibly secretive person. He shares very little with anyone, including his family and close friends. Not only does he not readily volunteer information, but he gets bothered when people pry into his life. He considers the things that happen to him to be his business, and no one has the right to know about them. He's very bothered by gossip, even if it isn't about himself. After sharing a room with his older brother Tyler for years, Quentin had virtually no privacy. This only causes him to open up to people less, since Tyler tended to jokingly torment his brother about his choices, which bothered Quentin more than it would the average kid.

Quentin has a very dry sense of humor. He makes a lot of sarcastic jokes that people often don't realize is sarcasm, and he hardly ever laughs. This isn't because he doesn't find things amusing, quite the contrary. He really enjoys comedy shows and movies, he just rarely expresses his humor through laughter. Similarly, he hardly ever cries or does anything to show strong emotion.

Quentin is a dark person, appearance wise. Not dark as in gothic or emo, but he just has dark features. Tan skin, dark hair, almost black eyes. His hair is long and wavy, and is more often than not swept out of his face. A serious expression can be seen on his face often. Quentin isn't particularly tall or short; he stands around 5'8". He's naturally very skinny and makes very little effort to change that, so he isn't particularly muscular. He tends to wear collared shirts, sometimes layered over t shirts, and blue jeans. When he's in the mood, he'll accessorize with miscellaneous rings and bracelets, but he's typically too lazy for that.
