Welcome to Pallet’s Halloween Bash!
The lights are dim, and fog machines are at work, filling the floor with white clouds around everyone’s feet. Long food tables, with large glass punch bowls, are at either side of the gym, and a DJ is mixing music at the front. People are dancing in the middle, and hanging out on the edges and trying to talk. Loud, indiscernible rock and rap is playing, and teachers are patrolling the edges, trying to keep students from getting to rowdy or too inappropriate.
Black streamers, fake bats, pumpkins, and posters bearing the words, “Pallet Halloween Bash” are scattered throughout the gymnasium. Everyone appears to be having a good time, relaxing and having fun, though there are some screwing their faces up against the volume of the music. Who will you join?
