Bands of America

Just posting this announcement ahead of time because it will be crazy the day of.

I'll be gone on Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5 because of a big band competition called Bands of America. It means that our marching band (of which I'm a member - go flutes!) has a ten minute show with involved body movements, music, and is generally not your typical half-time performance. Here's our show this year, at an earlier performance date. We've improved some since then. :3

Moral of the story, I'll have my iPhone and I will be lurking and possibly chatting in the c-box this weekend, but not much else. Once this is over, though, marching band is over, yay more free time! It'll also be my last marching season, but I still like free time, sad though the event may be.

I'll bump this to remind y'all (go me?), but yeah, just putting some advance warning. And no worries, newbies, Kashi and Todoku can both accept applications, so you don't need to wait for me. :3

Competition was great! It was our first year competing, but we made it to finals, and placed 11th out of nearly 60 bands - not bad for our first time around! I'm really tired since we made it back around 3 am this morning (2 am, if you want to count daylight savings time), but posts will be arriving soon!

Glad to see things have still been happening, and more things will be happening now that I'm back! :]
