Here you address your character’s past. Don’t skip around unless it is necessary - make sure to address every part of their life that affected them as a person growing up, and discuss how they made it to Pallet High School. This section can be a pain, but we want to hear your character’s side of the story. Please make sure you have permission before referencing other established characters on the site in your history. There’s no minimum or maximum for this section so long as you address everything that needs to be addressed.

Make the connection between the Pokemon you’re applying for and your character. You may use the Pokemon anime, Pokedex entries, Pokemon manga and other viable sources (such as Serebii or Bulbapedia) as references. (It would be wise to credit some of the sources you used so we can check things if necessary. For instance, “On Bulbapedia, I saw that XY Pokemon was known for Y trait, so...”) Here are some things we want to see addressed: How are they similar? What are the connections in their personality, appearance, and history to the Pokemon? A bulleted list is fine here, or you can write a paragraph. This is where you explain to us why you did what you did, so cover everything!
