Hello, and Happy Holidays, Palletites! :D
Things have quieted around Pallet High School recently during this month of November, but I don't think they'll stay that way for long!
Welcome to some of our newer members: Skylar, James and Utau! James plays Murdoch MacGowan (based on Squirtle!), Skylar is working up her Teddiursa character, Theodora Ursing, and Utau has been working diligently away on a Mime Jr. character, Mitchell Jameson! We're so excited you guys are here - welcome! And welcome to all other new members I haven't mentioned - it just means I haven't seen you around lately, but you're very welcome too! :D *confetti!*

A couple of updates have been made to:
--- The Rules (regarding character limits [loophole provided, if you think you can handle more characters, talk to an admin], and general cleaning)
--- A new FAQ thread! Feel free to contribute questions to any staff member if you have something to add. :]
--- OTM Nominations have been posted! Please make your nominations soon! (Please see this thread also!)
--- Lots of fun threads posted in the Chat area! Feel free to play around and chat with us! :]
And now, onto other news!
We've ended Halloween (see this thread for more info on that), and are getting ready to move into the holiday season. For this, our first holiday season, we're planning a White Elephant! For those of you unfamiliar with the concept of White Elephant, it's normally where you bring a random gift and exchange it with someone you don't know. On PHS, we'll be pairing everyone with someone they don't know, or at least haven't RPed with before, and they'll be required to do something together - a fun thread, exchange graphics, whatever you want to do! And it doesn't have to be immediately, you just need to make sure it happens at some time. (This 'event' will probably last until February, so no need to worry about time constraints!) :]
Our pairs will be announced after we see some people returning, and activity has risen, hopefully around December. This brings me to the inactivity check! If you haven't been around and/or posting for the last two months, your name will be put on the "inactive" list (which will be posted in the next week or so). You'll have a month to save your account (a simple post on the list while on that account will do), to save it from being moved into the "Ghost" group. All the ghost group means is that your account will be 'locked,' essentially. You won't be able to post, though you should be able to view everything. It's easy to fix, however, and can be moved back at any time to your original status with a simple PM to any staff member.
Also, Rachel did some cleaning this morning, so if your thread is missing, you should be able to find it in the Archives! If you want it moved back, PM any staff member and we can move it back for you to continue.
I think that's everything for right now. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, if you celebrate that, and you all have a safe holiday season!

Update !
A hearty welcome back to one of our older members, Mel! Mel plays Melody Konhas, and formerly used to play Altair Bayon, though is switching to a new character soon! :]
Also, new major has been added, for all you fighting types: Exercise Science! A quick definition: "Exercise science majors study the science of the human movement. They also learn how to help people live healthier lives through exercise, rehabilitation, and nutrition."
If you have any more majors you want to add, feel free to suggest one right here!
