Friendships

When it comes to friendships or friendly acquaintances, Jason is polite and passive, and is unlikely to be OMG BFFs unless there is some major correlation in interests (he likes a lot of things, including casual academic discussions, nature-watching, shopping and fashion, writing notes and letters, and plenty more~). To start off with, all his relationships with others are on this equal footing, but taking into consideration the fact that all interactions are not static, he very rapidly passes judgement on his peers. If they treat him well, he will return the favour. He's happy to help someone with their homework, have a study buddy, will lavishly buy food and gifts for those he appreciates, and try out something new (keeping in mind he is completely nonathletic, hates getting his clothes dirty, and is terrified of new experiences). He gets along equally well with males and females, regardless of their age, but is easily intimidated by strength, size or unfriendly/dangerous demeanours... and he's slightly more awkward around boys.

Enmities

Critical and judgemental, Jason will quickly glare upon anyone who does even the slightest thing against him or a friend. If it's a legitimate accident, he'll forget about it, but anything from an insult, to ignoring an offer for help, to annoying behaviour, to a simple lack of gratitude, will upset him. Normally, he'll shut down - want to curl up and hide like a frightened little hedgehog - but when his stress exceeds its limits, he will lash out verbally. Whining, rudeness, criticism, bossiness, and arrogance. Eh, what's to be scared of when it comes to this unimpressive brat, really? If you're his enemy, you're probably big, scary or mean anyway. You can go pick on someone your own size or just have some fun taunting this timorous youth.

Romance

Jason is inexperienced when it comes to matters of the heart, and has only ever had a grand total of one relationships in his lifetime. That one resulted in heartbreak, and since then, he has treaded carefully, but he always keeps an eye out hopefully for any suitable partners, even if it's mostly just idle people-watching. Keep in mind he is strictly homosexual. He isn't sure what his kind of guy is truly like -- getting together with someone passive and submissive like himself just might not work, but someone who's too extraverted or out-there might overwhelm him -- but he's keeping an open mind... never mind his shallow prerequisite for good looks (hey, he likes looking at pretty things). He's had quite a few crushes in the past, most of them unresolved and brief, so there are plenty of opportunities. I'm open to one-sided attractions (unrequited on either side), awkward/cute developing romance with another guy, or even a female character who likes Jason but whom he sadly can't be fond of in return.

This is just a brief taste of how Jason might possibly get along with others. The possibilities are endless; it isn't limited to these descriptions alone! He's a sweet kid and will go along with just about anything, really. xD I'm open to any sort of thread or idea, even if it's just mundane day-to-day stuff or something earth-shattering... bring it on, guys! I'm just as happy discussing over PM as on here (I do have instant messengers but I don't use them for RPing/plotting purposes or for much of anything, sorry D: ).

I think they'll be friends. Bart is a Horticulture major, so they might share some classes and be friendly with one another. He's a serious, but nice guy with a nonjudgemental attitude. Plus, Bart is good at being friends with gay boys without realizing that they're gay. *cough*Atticus*cough* I'd be amused if Jason started liking Bart as a crush, too, though I wouldn't expect anything in return on that end. x3 (Totally optional, of course, I'm just a sucker for romance. xDDD)

Maybe they could meet on campus somehow, or Bartholomew could help him move into his dorm room? (I seem to be doing a lot of those, fortunately they're easy plottings! xP)

Melissa & Jason

Melissa might a bit too outgoing for Jason, but they would be friends anyway. Honestly, Melissa has a really hard time making enemies simply because she sees the good in everyone and tries to befriend anyone she can unless they've hurt herself or her friends (her step-brother being the exception, but you know). Mew would probably be good for getting Jason into shenanigans that he didn't really want to get into. That would be really fun for plotting, though I can't say I have any specific ideas at the moment. xD

Jynx & Jason

Despite the fact that their names both start with the letter "J", I'm going to say that these two probably wouldn't get along so well. xD Jynx is outgoing, but not in the way Melissa is outgoing. She likes to fix things and make suggestions (usually percieved as demands). While I don't think she would outright scare Jason, I think she would make him nervous and want to curl up in a ball. She's not mean, but I can't see them being too close simply because she's quite a handful of a person to get used to. She's used to doing things her way. They might be interesting for plotting sake, but, it being early, I don't have too many ideas. Let me know if you have some, though! x3

OMG, plot, yes!! First off, I'm Todoku, and, as you can see, I play as Atticus Sanford, another homosexual British born boy. I would love to plot with you :3

I can definitely see these two having SOME sort of relationship in some way, shape, or form. Atticus is generally a lot more open and secure with his sexuality. For him, it's not a big secret, but at the same time, he's not going to freely bring it up in a conversation. However, if he sees someone he has a liking for, then he won't hesitate to make a move. It won't be something so blatantly obvious when it comes to his sexuality, but he will try and become friends with them. I can see Atty having a thing for Jason, especially since he's also from Britain. They probably wouldn't have many classes together seeing as Atty studies electrical engineering, but that doesn't mean they could meet outside of class or something.

Outside of any rare classes they might both be in, well... Jason gets around quite a lot, checking out the various cafeterias and eateries in and out of the school, and he does quite a bit of window-shopping... they can just randomly bump into each other somewhere - anywhere - or one of them can actively seek the other out in an attempt to get to know them properly (Atty can make this first move, but Jason can, too) What say you? Gotta start somewhere, after all. [/ul]

Yay, friends for Mew! I would also be amused if their was an unrequited crush from Mew to Jason. xP (Told you, I'm a sucker for romance. We'll see how that plays out before anything happens. xD) As far as shenanigans go, it would be things like pouncing on people, rolling down hills, having snowball fights, maybe pulling a prank or two if she got an idea. Nothing mean, just silly-ness. xD She'd be pretty embarrassing to him, for him, at him... Yeah. And she loves large crowds of friends. I have a feeling Jason will like her but be very tired of her, too. xD

They should play Truth or Dare. Just an idea.

I'd love some tension with these two! I agree, friendship would seem unlikely. Especially if Jynx started trying to "doll him up". Maybe they could have some "grr" interactions later? Or they could meet anonymously online. That'd be fun too.

I can see a lot of things happening between these two. Atty's not generally a window shopper - he'd rather go in and actually try things on, usually if they're scarves. I think the easiest thing would just be to start a thread and see how things pan out :3 I can start one if you want. Or you can. I can throw Atty just about anywhere.

I think Flora could be a good friend for Jason, actually. She's a bit outgoing but not obnoxiously so, and she's nice and friendly. Shouldn't be in any way intimidating. She's a sophomore too, so they should probably have at least one class together, though their majors don't overlap at all.

Oh-- and if you feel Jason just hasn't quite had enough romantic offers yet, I could easily see Flora thinking he's cute without ever realizing she doesn't have any chance.

I don't see anything happening. If they ever randomly meet something mildly interesting could happen, but Sam'll be inclined to be completely neutral towards Jason.
