» JayShay: Say, I know the greenhouses allow plants to be cultivated regardless of the outside weather, but... have you ever had trouble growing plants in winter? All that frost and snow and... you know.[/ul]

bartasaur: I empathize, friend. Homework (more homework) and staying warm take up what time we have.
bartasaur: Isn't it, though? Winter is a most interesting time to study plants, for sure.
bartasaur: And likewise.
bartasaur: It's nice to have a friend to talk "shop" (or should I say plants?) with. :]
bartasaur: Yes, I have had difficultly - most plants are not hardy enough to survive this kind of weather.
bartasaur: But if you wrap the plant and its roots nightly, it's usually fine. Especially if it's in a greenhouse.

[/color] I think studying plants and all of nature is interesting, no matter the season. It's always different.
» JayShay: But I don't like the cold at all, so I may be biased. Give me temperate weather any day. I think the plants would agree with me.

bartasaur: It really is! Nature is an amazing focus of study.
bartasaur: I'm surprised more people aren't interested in it. But I guess studying plants doesn't sound very exciting, and trust our generation to want something exciting.
bartasaur: The cold is not my favorite, either, ha ha. I guess we're both biased. :]
bartasaur: Warm weather is nicer, I'll agree with that.
bartasaur: Wrapping with definitely help. I kind of hope the plants don't drown, though. That would put a damper on things.
