personality
Cassie is an open~minded, slightly moody sort of girl. She's a good listener, partially because she doesn't talk that much, and partially because she day dreams as much as she really dreams, and she LOVES sleeping. Her main hobbies are black and white drawing, sleeping, singing and reading, as well as figure skating, which she's intensely competing in outside of school.
Her voice is high and clear, like running water, and her favorite color is silvery~blue~white, like the color of snowflakes. She's fond of winter and the cold, even though the chill makes her a little icy in personality. However, at different times, her favorite colors change to scarlet and turquoise, mostly on really hot and rainy days.
She really cares about the environment and is a bit of a weather~nerd. She wanted to be a meteorology minor, but the school doesn't offer it, so she's planning on environmental science. Cassie can be a completely different person if the weather's right, and she bases a lot of her drawings on seasons, rain and other sorts. AKA She adapts well.
Cassie is the opposite of stubborn. She takes other people's opinions so well, she never gets anything done! Most of her art ends up being plain, simple sketches that never get into inks because she tries to take everyone's opinions into it. She almost wishes that she were more persistent (The only things she persists in are the environment), but no one else does because they love her humility.
She's often accused of as not being a very colorful person, but she just hides it behind her grey exterior. She's pretty smart, but sleepy, and she digests most of her school lectures during her naps. So she actually processes more information when asleep than not! All of her teachers get notes from her parents that prove it, so she gets to doze, to the obvious jealousy of her peers.

appearance
Cassandra has hair that is usually dyed silver, but sometimes she changes it to red or blue. It is a bit bushy and reaches her chin, where it curls up against itself in what looks like a solid mass of hair. She also has one part of her bangs which refuses to join the others and instead hangs limply in front of her face, which she usually gels up to allow her to see. It ends up sticking straight up and backwards at the tip, which gives her a sort of style.
She wears large, round glasses over her black and gray speckled eyes, and a light coating of deep~red lip gloss that tastes a lot like lychee. Her attire usually consists of a silver and white plaid sweater~vest over a black long~sleeved shirt and some bell bottoms which have swirls all over them from when she gets bored in class and can't fall asleep. Her shoes are bamboo flip~flops during every season, even winter, because (as she says) she "loves to feel the seasons through her toes!"
Her build is short and light, though she's got a slight muffin top when she wears skinny jeans (but then, don't we all?). Her face is very round, but not entirely Charlie~Brown quality. More like a chibi, in that she has the slightest peak out of a chin, and her forehead is pretty big. She also wears a gray ski~hat with a puff ball on top and puff balls at the ends of the ropes dangling off that you use to tie the hat.

history
hometown - Hangzhou, China
Cassie has had a pretty average childhood, except for her father being in prison in China. He used to give uncensored internet to the citizens there, before he was caught and jailed. His sentence will last way past when Cassie goes to college, but they let him send her and her mother letters and the occasional phone call. The two are trying to break him out, but international court is tricky. Cassie really loves her father, but doesn't remember that much of him since the last time she saw him was when she was six. All she remembers is the last day the females in the family would spend in the city Cassie lived in for her entire life and would leave forever. Her father had a condominium in Pallet, Colorado, where the two could live until he was freed. They were going to go live there so that the Chinese government wouldn't find them and imprison them as well. They had stopped at a chestnut stand and Cassie was confused why she had to pack up everything, but happy somehow. She was going to America! They hadn't told her that Daddy wasn't coming, they didn't tell her why. They had just wanted her to be ignorant and happy.
Ever since then, Cassie's been a little weary of the internet, and annoyed at her family. She knew that she was being petty, but she felt that they were obliged to tell her such an important thing about her life, even though she was only six at the time. It probably would have made the airport trip less painful. She'd probably only sniffle a little bit the whole time, instead of freaking out and thinking that they'd lost track of Daddy, then running outside of the terminal to try to find him and almost making them late for their flight. When they got to Pallet and her mother finally explained everything, she got her daughter a pet chicken to bring a smile to her face. The angry daughter named it Daddy, and when it died, she got a new one, replacing it with an uncanny ease.
She's an only child because her mother had her very late in life and now cannot have anymore children. People often think that her mother is her grandmother, because they have heard about her father being in prison and concluding that her mother joined him. When they hear she didn't, they give dirty glances that used to give Cassie nightmares about being hated. She got nightmares a lot and had to move her futon into her mother's bedroom for many years just after they moved in. She only began using her own room when she was nine years old.
The girl went to public schooling because her family wasn't very rich. She only came to the Pallet High on scholarship, and because it's walking distance from her house. Whenever she's unhappy with her mother, however, she stays in the dorm for a night. Usually, her dorm mates are fine with taking the area for most of the time and allowing her to stay in there on random nights, but every once in a while they are having a party and she cannot stay at home, so she sleeps in the library. The librarian knows her, and she donates books often to it, so they allow her to stay.

Castform always seemed sort of moody to me, since it changes a lot of itself depending upon the weather. It practically becomes a completely new person! So Cassandra had to be rather obsessed with the weather, as well as able to change herself depending upon her surroundings. She's good at adapting.
We needed art majors, anyhow, and a pokemon that can easily adapt and acts so colorful is one of the easier ones I could find to make an art major. (Just wondering, are the round things its body? Its feet? They look... weird.)
Besides, her name (Cass F. Orman) and looks are a clear ringer for the character! (I know it isn't required to do that, but I always have such fun with it!)
