 Its been 3 years since Naraku had been defeated and the Shikon Jewel was vanquished from this Earth. The Inu Yasha gang has settled down in Kaede's old village, where the old priestess raises Rin while Lord Sesshomaru is away. Kouga has married Ayame, completing her childhood wish. Sango and Miroku have had kids and everything seems fine, even though there is the occasional demon passing through. However, in the south, trouble is rising. A bottomless pit has appeared in Kyushu region in southern Japan and priestess and monks are troubled in that region. You see, there are monsters coming out of the pit. Many appear to be like any normal humanoid demon, but their thirst for blood is much greater than that of the most blood thirsty demon. In ancient texts, it reads that these beings were once living on Earth but were cast down to the underworld when the God of Death and Darkness was cast out of Heaven. Terror is rising in Japan and rumors are spread that a great terrible force is coming.
And this "great terrible" force is here. However, it hides in the shadows of the world, spreading its influence to demons of Japan. The weaker demons are becoming stronger and the stronger demons are, well, becoming troublesome. There is also a rumor that a great demon that was destroyed three years ago has come back. That's right, Naraku is back.
But he isn't working alone this time. You see, the God of Death and Darkness is the one that has brought him back and is working with him to destroy Japan, and eventually Earth. The Inu Yasha gang and forces that fought against Naraku last time are going to have to battle once again. You see, its not only Naraku that is back. Past enemies that were once killed are being brought back. But its not only enemies. No, the Great Dog Demon is back along with Izayoi. But they are merely controlled pawns in the god's and Naraku's hands.
Many will die. Many will join forces. But do you have the strength to save Earth?
